- microfiber - absorbs moisture, but dries quickly, quite dense, elastic and warm. It is used in sewing walking clothes and housecoats. This material is not always good for walking, as it becomes electrified;
- cotton and linen - this fabric is perfect for summer walks. It breathes and is quite light. The best option is a combination of cotton and linen threads. Linen wrinkles a lot and does not stretch very well;
- satin - often used as a lining. In its pure form, satin is good for long-haired breeds, as it prevents the wool from tangling and preserves its appearance;
- sintepon - this material is used as a filler for warm clothes. It retains heat, does not wrinkle, and restores shape. There is a more modern synthetic fluff, which is warmer than natural fluff, but does not bunch up after washing.

What rules should be followed when choosing

- clothes should not be too tight. Dogs do not like when something restricts their movements. Laces and ties on things should not be pulled too tight;
- If we are talking about overalls, you need to check how the pants fit. The Chihuahua's paws should move freely;
- Hooded overalls are good because they protect the ears from blowing. But there are other dangers besides otitis. A dog with a hood hears worse, and may not hear a command or an approaching car. Such things are worn when necessary in severe cold;
- It is better to choose things that are easy to put on and take off. Getting ready for a walk should not be a torment for your pet. Chihuahuas do not like clothes that are put on only over the head;
