The product is practical: it is comfortable and warm, the pants do not slip down when moving, it is suitable for boys and girls. - Divide the number of loops in the middle of the front and knit each part separately.
- The central part of the jumpsuit knitted with needles for newborns should be equal in height to 20-23 cm.
- Then make the back, right and left shelves separately with decreases along the raglan line. Put the fabric aside when the armhole is 12 cm high and the total number of loops on the knitting needles is reduced by 2 times.
- The next piece is the sleeve. Cast on stitches, knit 4 cm with a 1 x 1 elastic band, switch to garter stitch. Increase in every 5th row, after 10 cm - in every 7th row. At a height of 21 cm, begin decreasing along the raglan line. As soon as the length of the sleeve and the front are equal, put the work aside.
- Transfer the deferred loops of all parts of the jumpsuit to circular knitting needles.
The sleeve loops are located between the back and front loops. The collar strip is made of 1 x 1 elastic, 2 cm high.
With ears
Models with ears are practical. It is not difficult to knit such a style for a baby with knitting needles. Models with a hood are especially necessary for walks in cool weather. There are knitting patterns for parts of any configuration. The yarn can be taken in the same shade as the main part of the model. If you need to highlight the ears, you can use a contrasting color.
Work process:
- Cast on 36 stitches for the pants and knit 4 cm with a 2 x 2 rib pattern. Switch to stocking stitch.
- Knit with increases in every 5th row, 1 loop on each side.
- After knitting 15 cm, put the fabric aside and start working on the second half. Knit in mirror image.
- Join the pants on one knitting needle, continue to knit the back to the shoulder line. Close the shoulder seams.
- The front is knitted similarly, but from two halves. For this, do not put the fabric aside, but continue knitting each part to the shoulder line.
- For the sleeve, cast on 26 stitches, knit 4 cm of elastic, switch to stockinette stitch. Make increases in every 6th row.
- At a height of 23 cm, close the loops.
- Sew the pieces together neatly and add loops for the hood along the neckline.
- Knit the ears separately.
- At the end of the work, sew in a zipper and sew ears onto the hood.
With braids
For a baby, you can knit a jumpsuit with braids in a warm winter or lightweight summer version:
- Cast on the required number of stitches, calculated using the control sample.
- Knit 8 rows with 1 x 1 rib pattern.
- Switch to garter stitch and start knitting a braid in the middle of the pants.
- Continue knitting the jumpsuit, namely its front to the shoulder cut, while making decreases on the step line (2, 1, 1 loops).
- For the sleeve you need 24 loops, knit in garter stitch.
- Sew all the details together.
