Jeans that have undergone an artificial aging procedure have not gone out of fashion for many seasons. Scuffs or holes allow you to make the image brighter, give a familiar thing an unusual look. But if it is difficult to find denim trousers to fit your figure, then choosing torn jeans is an even more difficult task. But if you know how to make torn jeans, you can create a unique thing with your own hands without any special difficulties.
What jeans will suit
Before you make holes in the fabric yourself, you should choose the right model. First of all, decide whether you want to process the male or female version. There is no significant difference, they are made of the same fabric, and holes or worn areas can be made in the same way. But the design of clothes for men and women may differ.
You shouldn't take models made of stretch fabric. You won't be able to tear elastane skinny jeans beautifully at the knees or hips. It is better to choose wide trousers or models of medium width, made of denim. On them, holes look perfect.
Some tips for choosing:

A pencil erases well enough, but its mark is difficult to see. A felt-tip pen is difficult to wash off. Therefore, it is worth using tools from the tailor's arsenal - chalk or a piece of soap;
- cutting board - it is inserted into the trouser leg so as not to damage the fabric of the back part when making a cut. If there is no special board, you can take a piece of plywood or a cutting board from the kitchen. The main thing is that it fits into the trouser leg and is not too thick (no more than 10 mm);
- If it is easy to make torn jeans from old ones (cuts are made in the place of abrasions), then new trousers will have to be artificially aged. To do this, you need to prepare a piece of sandpaper or a file. A sharpening stone will also do.

You can pluck the threads in bunches, or one thread at a time. This is a more labor-intensive option, but the result will look neater.
The warp threads can be separated into individual fibers with a darning needle. Some of them can be cut to create a fringe. But remember that the product will only take on its final appearance after washing. The final step is to reinforce the edges of the hole with overcasting so that the material does not spread further.
Decor and aging
After the holes have taken the desired shape, you need to do the final processing of the product. First, you need to sand the edges of the holes to give them a worn look. Then you can bleach the fabric by applying bleach to the warp threads and around the cuts. Then you need to wait the required time and wash off the remaining bleach with plenty of water. The bleached edges will emphasize the cut.
If necessary, you can decorate the holes by sewing pieces of colored material or lace under them. You can also use beads, sequins, and colored thread embroidery to decorate jeans.
