When stitching the strips, be sure to smooth the internal seams in different directions. Sew a decorative tape along the perimeter of the fabric. Cut a piece of lining fabric to fit the blanket. Fold the denim and lining fabrics with the right sides facing inward and stitch along the perimeter. Leave an unstitched section of about 25-30 cm on one side. Turn the blanket inside out through this opening and stitch the section with a decorative stitch.
Bag
It is very popular to use old denim items to sew bags using the patchwork technique. For decoration, use braid, beads, sequins, rhinestones. The main stages of work:
- according to pre-prepared sketches, denim scraps are cut for the bag fabric and handles;
- First, the main parts of the bag are sewn together step by step;
- the fabrics are stitched along the sides and bottom. The top of the bag is turned inside out and stitched. If desired, you can insert a zipper or sew on a button with a loop so that the bag can be closed;
- stitch the handles and sew them to the bag. It is important to make several lines so that the handles do not come off;
- The finished bag is decorated with decorative elements.
Depending on the sketch, the denim patches are connected with a straight seam or a zig-zag. If you do not plan to sew a lining, you can use a zig-zag seam.

- fold the front sides of the top and sides and stitch. Leave an open section of 15-20 cm;
- The cover is turned inside out. The pouf is filled with synthetic padding or a special filler and sewn up.
