Today, fashion pays more and more attention to comfortable clothes for every day. Discreet design, dense waterproof material, flexible styles that adapt to a person are the main selection criteria not only for the older generation, but even for young people. Tactical clothing, a term that appeared relatively recently, fully meets these criteria. Such clothing has special properties, due to which it takes an honorable place in the list of indispensable wardrobe items.

Varieties

Tactical gear is developed with the main emphasis on wear resistance, durability, and high functionality of individual elements. Therefore, aesthetics and variability are not the most important thing. However, there are several established types of tactical suits, which are divided by manufacturers and military requirements in each country. For example, the traditional version of the British MultiCam uniform is a jacket and trousers, and special cord inserts are used for enhanced protection and increased wear resistance. The domestic version of such equipment is the Gorka suit, consisting of a jacket with trousers that provide reliable fixation. Many small pockets provide the ability to store small items, and universal types of patterns allow this suit to be used not only in combat, but also for hunting or fishing. The material used in sewing winter special forces clothing copes well with high humidity or strong wind, and also reliably protects against external damage.

Although tactical uniforms are considered military clothing, they are ideal for everyday wear because:

  • Does not restrict movement;
  • It has high wear resistance;
  • Waterproof;
  • Reliably retains body heat and wicks away moisture;
  • Does not require special care;
  • Camouflages well in the environment;
  • It has many hidden and external pockets, as well as fasteners that allow you to fix the position of the clothes on the body.

A quality suit, for example, tactical clothing for the GRU special forces, is divided into several groups. Further classification allows you to quickly decide on the choice of the necessary wardrobe item. A complete tactical set consists of:

  • Thermal underwear;
  • Outerwear;
  • Headdress;
  • Gloves;
  • Accessories (belts, additional pockets, tactical equipment, insoles).

Outerwear includes both T-shirts, sweaters, down jackets, and trousers, shorts, overalls and vests. The main advantages of tactical T-shirts and shirts over regular clothing are their high quality, tight strong seams, breathable material, comfortable cut, and the presence of special symbols or colors. Jackets, vests, and down jackets are designed to perform several functions at the same time, so they have a specific design: additional pockets, straps, belts and other accessories. Some models of outerwear, including trousers, have secret compartments sewn into them, designed for carrying weapons.

Design and pattern options

The main types of patterns used in the manufacture of tactical clothing for the GRU special forces and other units have their roots in the USSR. The names that were given to them back then have become firmly established for camouflage colors, and today are used everywhere.

  • "Ameba" is one of the oldest camouflage patterns, which first appeared in 1935. It had several pattern variations and was intended for the uniform of scouts, sappers and snipers. Large spots along with a brown color scheme perfectly hid the soldier in tall grass and in the mountains;
  • "Deciduous forest" is a type of camouflage pattern that was used during the Great Patriotic War for sewing capes and ponchos. Like the previous type of pattern, it had several colors;
  • "Silver leaf", also sometimes called "birch" - dark green fabric with light gray areas - deformed the silhouette of a soldier well and was used most often in engineering, sniper, and reconnaissance units;
  • "VSR-93" and "VSR-98 Flora" - this camouflage with vertical stripes reminiscent of a watermelon was made for certain regions of Russia, where the use of striped camouflage could save lives;
  • "Digital flora", also known as "Russian digital" or "pixel", is widely used for sewing modern tactical clothing for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, FSB, and GRU special forces.

Shoes

Tactical footwear is widely used not only by fishermen, hunters and military personnel, but also by tourists, bikers, athletes and long-distance hikers. Even those who rarely travel love these footwear – they are comfortable, practical and fit securely to the foot, providing good grip and protection from injury.

The classic example of field footwear is the berets, which are high boots with lacing that tightly fix the shaft. They are great for everyday wear, running or extreme situations, and the cushioning and proper distribution of the foot load soften the impact, eliminating the risk of foot deformation. In tactical clothing for the GRU special forces, berets are an indispensable element. Half-boots serve perfectly as hiking shoes; their tight lacing along with light weight make them almost imperceptible on the foot. While high-quality material and multi-layer sole allow you to withstand low temperatures and provide thermoregulation.

For winter joggers, tactical sneakers are a great choice. These shoes are equipped with special synthetic insulation that keeps your feet warm throughout the entire wear.

Some models are made of membrane material that retains heat, but at the same time allows the feet to "breathe". Tactical sneakers will be a good replacement for sneakers and will also provide comfort during everyday urban use.

Headwear

Since the head is the most important part of the body that needs to be reliably protected during combat, tactical headgear is designed to be tightly fixed and provide reliable protection from rain and wind. Some headgear models are compatible with communication devices, headphones and tactical glasses. Special forces uniforms cannot do without a hat or cap, which additionally serve as camouflage equipment and are also available in several colors.

Hats made of fleece or wool with synthetic lining are an indispensable part of tactical clothing for GRU special forces in the cold season. The advantages of the hat include:

  • Hypoallergenic – despite the use of synthetic materials, the hat will not harm your health;
  • Breathable material that provides thermoregulation;
  • Flexibility – the hat perfectly follows the contour of the head, without squeezing the skull, but at the same time not dangling;
  • Easy to wash and quick to dry;
  • Sound-transparent fabric – hearing is not dulled;
  • High wear resistance.

Caps are considered a modern everyday headwear during the warm season. They are not much different from regular baseball caps, but their functionality is much wider - the cap has Velcro panels that allow you to place identifiers, reflective tapes, even a small flashlight. As with hats, tactical summer headwear is highly durable, comes in several camouflage color options, and is safe – the cap has no metal elements, and the seams are hidden under special strips of fabric for more comfortable wearing.

Accessories

Tactical accessories are a fairly broad concept, so they have long ceased to be part of the exclusively military sphere. Thus, gloves, which are now made of Kevlar, Nonex, genuine and artificial leather, are widely used by hunters, athletes, fishermen and extreme sports enthusiasts.

Belts – waist, gun – are often used in everyday wear and are famous for their ability to withstand heavy loads. And no tactical suit can do without flashlights and folding knives. Particular attention should be paid to glasses, which have a special anti-glare coating and reliably protect the eyes from external damage, including fragments, shot, small debris and sand.
